See Line Gallery presents Museum of Temporary Art curated by Janet Levy, an evolving group exhibition in homage to Janet Schmuckal and MOTA. Artists are referencing time, space and temporariness. The exhibition includes works on paper, posters, monoprints, photography, objects, collage, video, painting and sculpture.

MOTA was a pioneer alternative venue for the arts between 1974 and 1982, located in Washington, DC. Founder Janet Bell Schmuckal was the heart and soul of MOTA during its existence. MOTA was a cultural museum, a multi-media press, a community arts program, a small press collection and a multi-media performance space.

In conjunction with the Museum of Temporary Art, curator Janet Levy will assemble a pop-up Janet & Janet Shop at For Your Art space located at 6020 Wilshire Boulevard, LA in August 2012.
