I have always been certain that painting is the language through which I can best
express my thoughts. It is asking simple questions about colour, shape,
space, texture and rhythm. I usually paint on canvas with oils, and the challenge
for me is to find uncommon juxtapositions of different values of these visual
factors.
I like paradox and antinomy. Whilst I find myself drawn to abstraction – the
approach I choose is creating a feeling of motion and space through linear
geometry – on the other hand I am also interested in the history of religion,
mythology and pagan gods. My actual goal is to fuse these ideas together by
using linear perspective; composing patterns and geometrical shapes, but also
incorporating organic forms and figures.
